This needs to be a person who can sit with clients, listen to their goals and objectives and deliver alternative solutions to meet their needs.  Good verbal and writing skills are key as we do many technology master plans which require leadership for workshops and then written recommendations.

The individual would also work with our engineering staff to develop drawings and systems specifications for the network including all switches and edge devices and develop testing and disaster recovery plans.  He would report to our chief engineer.
