Hi everybody
I thought I would kick off this discussion by seeing who we have on the
list and what the School's existing Microsoft environment looks like.
I'm an MCSE in NT and 2000 with 8 years experience support Microsoft
domains and Exchange. I started at General Electric where we had an NT
4 Multiple Master Domain model running Exchange 5.5. From there, I went
to IBM which was mostly an OS/2, Lotus Notes environment. For the past
five years or so, I have been working at the Veterans Health
Administration. In that time, the VA has gone from an NT 4 domain model
running exchange 5.5 to a Windows 2003 Server AD Forest running Exchange
2003. The VA included 300,000 users in nearly 300 sites, including 250
hospitals, dozens of individual IT departments dealing with sensitive
HIPAA and Veterans Benefit data.
Over here at NTS, We have four small Windows 2003 domains with a number
of file and print servers, some IIS servers and an Exchange Server.
