Subject: [Karate] No karate tonight

Dear All, 

Karate tonight is cancelled due to the rain.  We can expect the next four weeks to hold the worst weather of the semester overall, but we won't cancel on the grounds of cold, so it would be a good idea to think about what you can wear to keep warm, without being any kind of danger to you or your partners.  Gloves, hats, and extra layers that don't have a lot of zippers or metal parts are all acceptable.  (Scarves are more or less an invitation to choking so you can wear them to warm up, but I won't be letting you grapple in them.)

See you all on Saturday.

Dear All, 

I'm away at a conference in Vancouver right now and neither Bob nor Jon were available to teach this time, so tomorrow's class (Sat) is cancelled.  This was my last trip of the semester so future classes should proceed as planned. Enjoy the Saturday morning off and I'll see you on Tuesday!
