We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing (sweats or shorts are fine) or alternatively a plain white gi. All jewellery should be removed for safety reasons. Beginners are very welcome - just come along and see what it is all about. See you tomorrow! Washington University Traditional Karate Club p.s. Here's the promised link to our facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2200265401&ref=ts Don't forget that we'll be training outside on Tuesday: 7-9pm in the grassy courtyard outside MacMillan. If your remember it would be a good idea to bring i) tennis shoes ii) a water bottle - to save you traipsing in to the water fountain all the time. We'd love to see you on Tuesday, even if you didn't make it today. The room turned out to be a little hard to find and I know that at least one person came but never found us, so here are some directions: When you get into Mallinkrodt (the building containing the University Store, Subway, and the Edison Theatre) go down to the bottom floor. Go through the doors marked "The Gargoyle" (there was a dance class in there when we went through, we just had to go around them as politely and unobtrusively as we could) and head for the single door at the back of the room. That's the entrance to our room - it isn't actually marked "100A" on the door but the fire code certificate inside says 100A on it. The room itself has mirror all along the back wall. We're in there for the next 3 Saturdays in a row. (Though our next class, on Tuesday, is in Umrath Lounge.)
