The position is in Syracuse, NY and would require the Engineer to be located in the area. Summary of Position The Linux Software and Hardware Engineer is responsible for Linux and HPC development and support. The position requires an understanding of BIOS, LinuxOS (Desktops and Servers), and component driver functionality. The individual works on everything from Desktop Linux builds to servers in High Performance Computing Clusters going into data centers and on the Top 500 list. The Engineer is also engaged in interaction with customers, deployment of systems, design of systems, troubleshooting, and support.
