Program,

NASA's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) is directed
toward enhancing the state of aeronautics for the nation, transforming
the nation's air transportation system, and developing the knowledge,
tools, and technologies to support future air and space vehicles.
The ARMD focus is on cutting-edge, fundamental research in traditional
aeronautical disciplines, as well as emerging fields with promising 
application to aeronautics.

The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program which is administered by the
American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is officially accepting
applications for the 2012 Aeronautics Scholarship Program. It is expected
that approximately 20 undergraduates and 5 graduate scholarships will be
awarded annually to students pursuing aeronautical engineering and
related fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
Physics and Mathematics. Total allocated award amounts are up to $40,000
for undergraduates and up to $125,000 for graduates. These funds will go
towards tuition and related costs, as well as to provide paid summer
internship opportunities at a NASA research center.

Competitive applicants interested in this amazing opportunity should
begin completing application materials immediately. A completed
application will consist of profile information, academic background
(including transcripts), a resume, an essay for undergraduates,
a proposal for graduates, letters of recommendations, and any test scores,
such as GRE's, when appropriate.

The application deadline is January 17, 2012. We encourage students to 
still apply.

Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship in Theoretical Computer Science
University of California, Berkeley

The Theory Group in Computer Science at UC Berkeley invites
applications for a post-doctoral position in theoretical computer
science.  Applications are welcomed from all areas of theory,
including (but not restricted to) algorithms, complexity theory,
cryptography, combinatorics, algorithmic game theory, distributed
and parallel computing, combinatorial optimization, computational
geometry, computational biology, and quantum computing.

This is a two-year fellowship funded by the Simons Foundation,
starting in Fall 2012.  The fellowship includes a generous salary,
plus ample funding for scientific travel.

Candidates must receive their PhD during the academic year
immediately preceding that in which the fellowship begins (i.e.,
2011-12).  There are no other restrictions on eligibility.

Applications should include all of the following materials: a
curriculum vitae, a research statement, and a cover letter including
(expected) date of graduation and the names and email addresses
of at least three recommenders.

The Theory Group especially encourages applications from outstanding
women and minority applicants.
